Production Context.
High-tension observational documentary: the situations were often unstable, so the sound approach had to remain alert, light and fully responsive.
Many contributors were in conflict with the police or involved in legal proceedings, which required a careful balance between professional discretion and human tact.
Some testimonies were recorded under conditions of anonymity, including former police officers, calling for a particularly discreet and non-intrusive working method.
With no script and very little control over what might happen next, the workflow depended on constant readiness, flexibility and trust on the ground.
